Sat 26th to Wed 30th November – Forresters Beach – Pebbly Beach – Home.

Day 29-32 Forresters Beach to Pebbly Beach. Travelled to a lovely spot right on the beach for a few days of relaxation before heading home.                                           Day 33 Pebbly Beach to home. Left Pebbly Beach around 2:30pm as we had to wait for the tide to drop low enough to cross the river.  Great idea as it effectively gave us an additional day.  Had a celebratory dinner on the way home at the Newmarket Hotel, just down the road from home, so a quick drive of less then 10 minutes afterwards.  Another great idea for our trips. Well another trip over and we again thank our travelling companions Kate and Paul.  Now on to planning our next adventure…  Canning Stock Route, WA in 2018?

Tue 22nd to Fri 25th November – Victoria to Forresters Beach

Now we have reviewed the weather forecasts for the next few days and they are not good.  Walking up Mt Kosciuszko in windy wet conditions doesn’t appeal to anyone, especially after seeing the snow around Mt Hotham.  Again a new plan… visit Lakes Entrance and start heading back up along the coast.   Day 25 Omeo to Eden In the drizzling rain we drove to Lakes Entrance for a quick look around.                          Nothing stood out so we continued to Eden for the night, in the rain we opted for an apartment… even in the rain it had a good outlook and we quickly toured the town in the morning.             Day 26-27 Eden to Batemans Bay. We decided to travel to Batemans Bay and have another rest day.  Drove along the coast but still wet weather so not much to see.  Booked in to an apartment again for the 2 nights. Dinner at their restaurant and touring the town and beaches.           Day 28 Batemans Bay to Forresters Beach. Travelling to my parents place for dinn

Mon 21st November – Victoria High Country

Day 24 Talbotville to Omeo Last day in the High Country because of road closures further into the Alpine Park towards Kosciuszko,  we had planned to travel cross country to get to Thredbo.  So the new plan is to visit the Blue Rag Range today then back to Dargo Pub for a meal before travelling to Thredbo via bitumen (walk to top of Mt Kosciuszko). So we left our camp and up through another steep climb along Collingwood Spur… stopped to take in more views…                                   And then to our next obstacle for our plans…                                         Ok, so the main road to get up to Blue Rag range is closed, but there is another way, it is just likely to be much more difficult and time consuming.  As the Blue Rag range is talked about in any High Country journey we thought it important to get there.  So back into the Talbotville area to start up South and then North Bassalt Knob tracks. First down a 2 wheel drive tight road.     Then onto some tigh
