Lastly dinner at the pub.

Day 53 (Thu 6/9/18)   Julia Creek - Charters Town

Travel day, additionally having both cars auxiliary batteries checked/replaced at Charters Towers.  After the trouble at Lawn Hill with Paul’s battery and my solar panels, it looks like my auxiliary battery has also failed as going flat overnight now.

Stopped in at the Prairie Hotel, plenty of character.

Day 54 (Fri 7/9/18)   Charters Towers - Airlie Beach

Travel day again, already have a couple of motel rooms booked for tonight to help prepare for our 3 nights on the catamaran from Saturday.

But before leaving Charters Towers we checked out the first stock market in Australia, or at least the building it was in and had some more scones…

Then a fantastic view for lunch just to prove we had finally arrived at the East coast.  And finishing off everything in our fridges as we will be shutting them down for a few days.
