Friday 16th July

After our visit to Cape La Grand on Wednesday we booked ourselves a couple of nights into the Lucky Bay NP camping area.  So we departed Esperance for a wonderful ocean view camp site at Lucky Bay.

Saturday 17th July

As we are on the road tomorrow and this is such a fantastic place, we are celebrating Kate’s birthday today… Happy Birthday Kate…  Well that was the morning plan!   Later in the day after some more Covid border restriction reading along with a phone call to the QLD govt, we have found that we will be allowed to transit NSW no matter what the hotspot status is if we abide by some strict guidelines – this means we no longer have to arrive at Port Augusta with enough time to bypass NSW (ie. add 2300 kms to the trip), time no longer a restriction.  So we are now staying here until Monday and can celebrate Kate’s birthday on the day…

Another glorious day, making up for the last couple of weeks.

 

 

 

 

Followed by watching Dolphins in the bay.

Can’t come all this way and not go into the Southern Ocean.

   

 

 

 

 

Oops!   Teach me to not bother lowering the tyre pressures.   Dropped the pressures all round and drove out.
