Sun 30th June – 3rd July. Pemberton-Walpole
Wednesday 30th June
Arrived at Coalmine Caravan Park, Walpole. Again before lunch and set up, then off into town for a look and some lunch Sleepy little town.
In the afternoon we went out to the “Tree Top Walk”.
Tracey relaxed on the sand on the edge of the inlet with some pelican friends.
Thursday 1st July
Relaxed morning with more friends including a scenic drive around the Knoll drive loop.
In the afternoon we went up to the “Circular Pools” and waterfall, this is a small section on the Frankland River which generates a circular motion. The circular current is easy to see due to the cappuccino like foam created by the Saponin in the water coming across the waterfall.
Friday 2nd July
Organised a cruise today on the inlets at Walpole, WOW eco Tours. Gazza was a fantastic tour guide, a wealth of knowledge of the area and history with a comedic twist. We all enjoyed this cruise. Got to cross a very clear “Moses Line” where the freshwater meets the saltwater along with the many accompanying stingrays. Crossed the hill to Shelley's Ocean Beach with pink/purply sand, definitely a sight to see.
After our cruise another scenic drive up to Conspicuous Cliffs (Fantastic view) and a quick tour of the very peaceful (virtually deserted and no where near as nice scenery as Conspicuous Cliffs) “Peaceful Bay”. We even saw some whales breaching in the distance.
Followed by a wonderful home cooked Rack of Lamb dinner.
As this was a nice spot and a nice day was forecast along with the need to rest a little and catch a breath, we chose to spend and extra day here and just chill, read a book, campfire etc..Saturday 3rd July
