Fri 27th – Sat 28th July - Alice Springs

Day 12 (Fri 27/7/18)   Alice Springs – Rest/clean up Day

Nothing exciting these two days as we planned them to refresh ourselves and to clean and stock up in preparation to start the real adventure.  The Canning Stock Route…  although surprisingly the CSR is still flooded between Well 25 & 26 thus we will need to use a diversion route through the Tefler mine.  We will advise all the details getting closer.

Washing of clothes, cars and ourselves all done.

A couple of superficial issues with the cars, worked on and solutions prepared.

The B&B we are staying in is great and allows us to spread out and relax then a Chinese meal for dinner… no cooking or cleaning up!!

  

Day 13 (Sat 28/7/18)   Alice Springs  -  Rest/stock up Day

Up very early to catch a glimpse of the blood moon eclipse.

  

Groceries and meat for 4 weeks done today then the hour or so trying to work out where to fit it all in the car.  but all done and finally some more relaxing in the B&B’s spa bath, which Tracey took advantage of.

We are ready and head off towards the Canning Sock Route tomorrow with our first stop at Yulara (Ayers Rock).
