Thu 19th – Fri 20th July - Cooper Creek – Birdsville

Day 4 (Thu 19/7/18)   Cooper Creek – Rest Day

We have camped along the Cooper Creek a number of times on our way to/from Birdsville in the past and have always said it would be nice just to relax here.  So this trip we decided to spend an extra night just to relax and wander around the river after a hearty breakfast.

   
   

I also got the drone out to begin to learn more on how to operate it and get some video and photos from a different angle.

Day 5 (Fri 20/7/18)    Cooper Creek (Windorah) – Birdsville

Left at 9am for our drive to Birdsville, mostly dirt road today but continue to have to contend with that emu!!

Then a quick stop on a hill top to view the surrounding area, the vastness of the outback.

 
 

And on  in to Birdsville for a few drinks and BBQ dinner in the Birdsville Hotel.

Tomorrow we head out into the Simpson Desert, back into phone coverage next Friday night when we arrive in Alice Springs.  Expect some catch up blogs then.
