Day 5 Wed Longreach – Boulia

Leaving Longreach heading for Alice Springs via the Plenty Highway, these are new plans due possible issue with the car.

Into Winton for morning tea (ate enough for lunch as well).  Whilst there we visited the Musical fence where the musical types showed there skills….

After our musical interlude, we headed west towards Boulia.  Stopping at the Middleton Hotel, the remotest pub in Queensland.

Then on to Boulia for the evening.

This is the Boulia Pub – We shared the evening with some locals enjoying immensely the clear cut result in the State of Origin – bring on Game 3.  Oh! we also had a nice meal.

Too excited to remember to take photos of our campsite next to the river.  Next time?

    Those pubs look pretty good.....are you sampling lots of the sherbets?? Within moderation that is.
