Wed 20, Thu 21 & Fri 22 June - Purnululu NP (Bungle Bungle)
Day 12-14
Into the Bungles we travel, more little issues. Patrol air conditioner has stopped working, Tracey’s camera is playing up and finally decided during these few days that the dusty conditions and 8-9 years of service was enough. Thus Kate was nice enough to lend Tracey (our official photographer) her camera.
The Bungles are amazing. Paul is absolutely correct… most tourist drawcards never live up to their hype, however this area is massive and far exceeds our expectations. Even if we had more photos, they would not be able to do this place justice.
We did all the NP walks with the Echidna Chasm being the pick but they were all different and worthwhile.

Paul and Kate ventured to the air to see the park in all its glory.
With some magnificent colours as the sun sets.
Enjoying, again, a lovely roast one evening prepared by Paul but also having Tracey’s famous upside-down pineapple cake for desert, topped with custard. The sacrifices we have to make when living without electricity.
Leaving here we head up to Kununurra, hoping to get the air conditioner looked at (Saturday – I won’t hold my breath), then on to the edge of Lake Argyle.
Talk soon..
