Sun 12th - Mon 13th August - Canning Stock Route (inc detour)

Day 28  (Sun 12/8/18)    Well 24  -  Queen Desert Baths (Rudall River NP)

Leaving Well 24 to head West via the 600km diversion route through Rudall River NP and Telfer Mine due to the CSR flooding.  We will meet back with the CSR at Well 33.

Reduction in scenery during the morning but we were joined for lunch by a few Galah’s…

  

  

Into the Rudall River National Park and after a while the scenery morphed into ragged red outcrops…

  

  

Camping at Queen Desert Baths.

  

Travelled 215 km’s today and passed 1 other group coming the other way.

Day 29  (Mon 13/8/18)    Queen Desert Baths (Rudall River NP) – Rest Day

Lovely sunny day, cooked breakfast. 

A quick overview of the cars to identify and fix a couple of rattles..

  

Relaxing and down for a dip in the “freezing” but lovely water.

  

  

  

  

And finally showers, hair and feet washing!!

  

Of course a roast for dinner with Upside down Pineapple cake for dessert.
