Sun 8 – Tue 10 July Broome – Middle Lagoon (Cape Leveque)
Day 30, 31 & 32
8/7
Breakfast at Cable Beach for Kyle’s favourite… Eggs Benedict. Then prepare to farewell Kyle back to Brisbane. In Kyle’s words “its taken us 4 weeks to get here and I’ll be home in 4 hours!”. We will take another few weeks.
We certainly want to thank Fiona and Greg for looking after Kyle and of course my parents for travelling up as well, allowing us to meander back home at a steady pace.
Now off we go to Middle Lagoon (Cape Leveque) for a few days rest. And our campsite wasn’t too shabby…
9/7
Yes the tide is out but with the large tides in this area, at high tide we are only about 10m from the waters edge – fantastic to listen to overnight.
Breakfast of champions, bacon with Tracey’s damper.
Then on to the chores for the day…
And just relaxing…
But we all know that relaxing takes its toll… yes toll not toe, Paul! Minor run in with an oyster shell, with Paul so concerned about a tropical infection, requiring all the skills of our dedicated nurse… “Get over it!”.
And the last thing for the day on the west coast, watch the sun setting over the water.
10/7
And today… more of the same…
Tracey says she has been in heaven here, on the beach doing nothing for two whole days. “Best place so far!”
Unfortunately we do have to head off in the morning, an early start as we have 2 big travel days to get to Kununurra for car servicing on Friday morning (8000km’s so far on this trip).
That’s all folks!
Aaaahhhh....looks fantastic. Folks...you are having the best holiday!! Pierre and I are sooooo wanting the sun....rain, rain, rain here in Gay Paree! Hope Paul's toe is OK...on 'ya Kate. A bientot.
